Swan Energy gains despite reporting 12% fall in Q3 net profit

Swan Energy is currently trading at Rs. 200.90, up by 4.65 points or 2.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 196.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 200.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 206.00 and Rs. 199.80 respectively. So far 82281 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 235.00 on 19-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 111.90 on 11-Aug-2017.

The company has reported 11.76% fall in its net profit after tax at Rs 0.15 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2017, as compared to Rs 0.17 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 42.34% at Rs 99.45 crore for Q3FY18 as compared Rs 69.87 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Swan Energy is engaged in trading in fabric as well as in development of properties. Their activity includes manufacturing and marketing of cotton and polyester sarees and shirtings in India. The company also engaged in the business of Textiles, Property Development.
